Itame aka. Stir Frying

Suitable for working mothers and busy people who want to have a nice healthy meal at home. Itame is the word in Japanese for stir frying in the cooking bible. Tonight, I made stir fried pork squid with vegetables in less than 15 minutes . My husband was hungrily waiting, so it suited his tummy's impatience. Ingredient: -Pork -Squid -Vegetables - Cabbage, Carrots, Onions, Green Peppers, Mushrooms -White pepper sauce For a very basic ingredient list , basically just pork ,  cabbage  and sauce will do the work. I should have taken a photo of it, but the dish was gone in seconds. Another dinner made easy recipe for all of you out there!!

Teriyaki Chicken

I don't quite understand why the Japanese adores soya sauce. Thus, tonight's dinner will be simple but soya-saucy: 1. Teriyaki Chicken 2. Boiled Spinach with soya sauce

Tofu and Fish

Tonight's Menu will be: 1. Mapo Tofu with Pork 2. Grilled Salmon with Oregano 3. Soya Sauce Dipped Cucumber :)

Kimchi Fried Rice

Apparently my favourite and most often cooked lunch. Ready in 5 mins. What you need is: Ingredients: 1. Cooked White Rice 2. Kimchi 3. Egg 4. Thin Slice Pork Meat For Seasoning: 1. Chopped Garlic 2. Soya Sauce

Steamed Pork with Zha Choi

I would always try to be fair to juggle between Japanese and Malaysian taste to sooth the relative taste buds. And tonight's dinner would be: 1. Pork Steamed with Zha Choi (pickled mustard plant) 2. Japanese Ginger Soya Sauce Beef 3. Soya Sauce Garlic Bean Sprout

Butter Raisin Rice

March 18, Monday Night We managed to get a good deal with Australian Beef Steak and Salmon from the supermarket during the weekend. So, I decided that it would be a Western dinner. Menu: Australian Beef Steak Cheese, Oregano & Basil Salmon Oven Baked Potatoes Butter Raisin Rice Coleslaw Homemade BBQ Sauce Belgian Cherry Beer (Kriek) & Japanese Santory Beer I would elaborate more on the Butter Raisin Rice as it was quite a successful dish that made someone had 3x filling. Butter Raisin Rice: Ingredients: 1. 2 cups of white rice 2. 1 tbsp butter 3. 1 tbsp raisin 4. 1 cube of chicken stock Method: 1. Wash the white rice according to normal routine.  2. Put in the rest of the ingredient in and stir evenly.  3. Turn on your rice cooker.

Heating the Wok

Three years ago, I made a choice to live in Europe. Didn't know that, I was, too, thrown to a kitchen and raw food, at most of the time when I was hungry. No other choices. It was the time where culinary skills was an essential equipment in my life, and that equates food. So, therefore I thought I would try to archive of what I have successfully and tastefully done for the last three years. And now, to live in Japan with a new twig, culinary skills would be more essential than before. Not forgetting, I could also make my parents happy by concurrently bringing home some homemade cookies. Friends coming over would also save a fortune, plus, enjoying a healthy and scrumptious meal!
